Shane Hughes, 36, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital.

A Nicholas County native, he was born December 12, 1972, was owner of Hughes Lawn & Landscape and member of the Myers Christian Church. Shane's greatest joys in life were visiting with friends and playing with his children.

Survivors include his parents Danny Hughes & Rosie Flora Hughes, his children Audri and Dray Hughes, a sister, Shauna Garrett, a brother, Togie Hughes, paternal grandmother, Clarine Finch, wife & friend Elizabeth Hughes, and a dear, close friend, Rachael Boone, all of Carlisle, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Darrell Sexton and Rev. Don Waggoner. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Friday.
