Thomas Clay "Tommy" Sams, 63, husband of Rebecca Kimes Sams, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011 at his home.

A native of Nicholas County, Tommy was born February 25, 1948 to the late William Clay & Merolyn June Cameron Sams, was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, a former employee of Arrow Electric and a member of the Myers Christian Church.

Other survivors include 2 daughters, Amie Sams & Amanda Sams, of Lexington, a brother, Richard Fuller (Sherry) Sams, of Carlisle, and his four-legged children, Molly, Rusty & Max.

He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, William Ray Sams and Timothy Lee Sams.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 13, 2011 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Roman Krywyn. Burial with military honors will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Sunday.
