Virginia Dare Crump, 86, passed away on Wednesday, Januray 5, 2011 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.

A native of Nicholas Co. she was born February 17, 1924, was a retired secretary and was a member of Carlisle United Methodist Church.

She is survived by 3 grandchildren, Timothy (Tammy) Crump, Lexington, Camille (Garry) Gray, Carlisle & Christopher Crump, Lexington, a special daughter Wanda Mathes, Carlisle, 2 nephews, Dennis Allison & Jimmy Walker, Carlisle, 2 great-grandchildren, Matthew Crump & Chelsea Crump and a great great-granddaughter Taylor Cecere.

She was preceded in death by her father Omer Clinton Bussell, her mother Lurline Vice Bussell Mitchelltree, a son Charles Crump, 2 sisters, Dorcas Allison & Polly Wells and a great-grandson Bradley Judge.

Services will be conducted Monday January 11 at 11:00 A.M. from the Carlisle United Methodist Church with Rev. James Doughton,Rev. Julian Hammonds & Rev. Rocky Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 A.M. Monday at the church.
