Walter Elmo Myers, 71, husband of Rosa Watkins Myers, died Saturday, January 26, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital.

He was born November 5, 1936 in Nicholas Co. to the late Gilby & Lillian McCall Myers, was a life long farmer, a former Nicholas Co. Fiscal Court Magistrate, a former Ky. Dept. of Transportation employee and a member of Cassidy Methodist Church.

Other survivors include 3 sons, Darrell (Kathy), Mike, & Luke (Becky) Myers, 3 daughters, Judy (Eugene) Hall, Sandy (Charles) Ishmael & Missy (Timmy) Fryman, all of Carlisle, a daughter-in-law, Susie Myers, Carlisle, a brother, Charles "Jack" (Dorothy) Myers, Carlisle, a half-sister, Kathy (Michael) Green, Jeffersonville, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Stevie Lane Myers, 4 brothers and a sister.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Rev. James Gaunce. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Monday.
