William Reynolds Morris, 77, husband of Shirley Johnson Morris, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.

Born July 4, 1936 in Nicholas County to William & Sallie Tubbs Morris, he worked for many years as a farmer, was a dedicated volunteer of more than 20 years at the Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home and an Honorable Kentucky Colonel.

Also surviving are 2 brothers, Eugene & Powell Morris, and a sister, Adalene Hall, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday at the Carlisle Cemetery Chapel by Rev. Steve Smith.

Visitation will be after 1:00 P.M. Monday at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home.
