William J. "Bill" Padgett, Sr.'s Obituary
William J. "Bill" Padgett, Sr., 90, husband of the late Geneva Brooks Padgett, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Born March 17, 1923 in Mason County to the late Everett & Anna Mefford Padgett, he was the longtime owner of Bill's Auto Sales in Millersburg.
An avid outdoorsman, Bill loved hunting and fishing as well as being a champion trap shooter.
Survivors include his son, William (Jewel Dene) Padgett, Jr., Carlisle, a daughter, Carolyn (David) Wilkins, Winchester, 5 grandchildren, Don, Lee & Christy Padgett, Holly Shaver & Dawn Ohnheiser, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Connie L. Padgett, a grandson, Len Padgett, 2 brothers, Ray & Tom Padgett, and 2 sisters, Thelma Mattox & Merle Patton.
Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. David Medford with burial to follow in Millersburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Monday.
