Wilma Letcher McClanahan, 87, widow of Herbert McClanahan , died Sat., Aug, 16, 2008 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

She was born December 13, 1920 in Nicholas County to the late Earl and Minnie Vaughn Letcher, was a member of the Carlisle Christian Church, a member of the Homemakers and was retired from Jockey International.

Survivors include a son, Marty (Nancye) McClanahan, Butler, a daughter Linda (Charles) Marshall, Burlington, 3 brothers, Eugene Letcher, Carlisle, Estill Letcher, Louisville, William T. Letcher, Jeffersonville, IN, 3 sisters, Marie Crawford, Carlisle, Mary Della Gillespie, Bourbon County, Faye Letcher, Carlisle, a grandson, Craig (Lori) Marshall, Cincinnati, a granddaughter, Dana Matt) Lewandowski, Caledonia, MI and 6 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Clay, Ronnie and Gaylord Letcher.

Services will be 11 AM Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008 at Carlisle Christian Church by Rev. Steve Smith with burial in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-9 PM Monday at Carlisle Christian Church.
