Abbie (Trussell) Anderson

Abbie Trussell Anderson, 77, wife of Raymond Anderson, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at her home in Carlisle.

Born October 24, 1947 in Nicholas County to the late Robert S. & Roger Cundiff Trussell, she was a retired employee of Jockey International. Abbie loved working crossword puzzles and sitting outside with her Pepsi & cigarettes. 

Additional survivors include a son, Bobby Anderson; 5 brothers: Billy Trussell, Allie (Virgie) Trussell, Kelley (Tammy) Trussell, Lester Trussell & Jimmy Trussell; a sister, Nancy Livingood; 2 grandchildren, Ashley Hopkins & Christopher Anderson; 3 great-grandchildren: Reagan & Landon Hopkins and Remington Anderson; and a host of nieces & nephews.

Also preceding her in death were a brother, Robert Trussell; 5 sisters: Jessie Martin, Anne George, Mary Mers, Maddie B. Trussell & Linda Lou Trussell; and a great-grandson, Luke Wade Hopkins.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 12th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Pastor Ruby Perraut with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Thursday until the time of service.
