Alan Wayne McClure, 79, husband of Patricia House McClure, went to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born January 27, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late James Edward Cuffley & Mary Chenowith McClure, Alan had called Kentucky home since 1968. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam, earned his Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance, was an employee of Rockwell International in Winchester, and retired from 3M Corporation in Cynthiana. Alan was a faithful member and former Deacon of Carlisle Christian Church. He was a proud member of the V.F.W. Post 8666 and American Legion Post 17 in Carlisle, as well as Blue Licks Lodge 495 F&AM. He spent his time collecting stamps, coins, and baseball cards. He also greatly enjoyed fishing, especially from the deck of his beloved Lake Carnico Home. Above all, he loved spending time with his granddaughters and family.
Also surviving are his daughters; Melody Lynn McClure of Cynthiana & Lori Ann (Ashley) McCay of Richmond and 5 grandchildren: Shelbie Lynn Wright (Carlos Dasilva), Cameron Katie Alexis "Lexi" Hall, Amelia Ryann McCay, Lila May McCay & Clara Reese McCay.
Also preceding him in death were 2 sisters, Anna Collison & Sandy Keene, and a special niece, April Jane Kerns.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Carlisle Christian Church by Reverend Steve Smith. Burial with military honors will follow in Longview Cemetery at Bethel, KY.
Visitation at the church will be after 5:00 P.M. Monday, concluding with Masonic Rites at 7:30 P.M.
