Alma Adamson Evans, 93, wife of the late Cabby Evans, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at her home in Carlisle.
Born September 8, 1932 in Robertson County to the late James Thomas & Verdie Cooper Adamson, she was a former nurse aide in both Bourbon and Nicholas County Hospitals, a former employee of Bluegrass Industries, and a member of the Pleasant Valley First Church of God.
Survivors include her 3 sons: Michael Evans, Mark (Julia) Evans & Marty Evans all of Carlisle; a brother– Carlos Adamson, and sister– Clarice Jolly, both of Fleming County; 6 grandchildren: Courtney Cooper, Amanda Evans, Danelle Jessee, Carly Evans, and Brad & Anthony Marker, along with 6 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Evans Marker & John Henry Marker, II; a grandson, Michael T. Evans; and 9 brothers & sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Monday, December 15th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Greg Tucker.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. Monday until the time of services.
A private inurnment will be on the family lot in Carlisle Cemetery.
