Amy Louise Fitzwater

Amy Louise Fitzwater, 46, of Nicholas County, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at her home. 

Born August 14, 1977 in Harrison County to the late Hillard B. & Eva Jean Hawkins Fitzwater, she was a 1995 graduate of Harrison County High School, worked for many years as a machine operator at several local factories, including KT’s, Bullard, Sekri and 3-Star, and attended Indian Creek Christian Church. Amy loved baseball, softball, music and flowers. 

Surviving are her longtime partner, Iber Gonzalez of Nicholas County; a daughter, Sadie Pack of Georgetown; 4 brothers: Randall Fitzwater of Virginia, Roy Kiskaden of Mt. Sterling and Phillip & Michael Kiskaden of Carlisle; 5 sisters: Lavona Fitzwater of Frankfort, Ida Lee Cornish of Lawrenceburg, Billy Jo Fitzwater of Winchester, Alice L. Clifford of Cynthiana & Jeanie Smith of Georgetown; a special cousin and friend, Irvin Hawkins; a special friend, Amanda Bussell; and several nieces, nephews & cousins. 

Also preceding her in death were a son, Evan Vance Alviso Fitzwater; a brother, H.B. Fitzwater, Jr.; and a sister, Patricia Kearns. 

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held 1:00-3:00 P.M. Saturday, May 25th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home with a Memorial Service by Bro. Johnathan Allison at 3:00 P.M.
