Anna Frances Goldy, 81, wife of the late Chester Lee Goldy, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.
Born June 30, 1940 in Bath County to the late Buren & Mary Alice Withrow Staton, she was a devoted homemaker and member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church.
Surviving are 7 children: James Roy Pergram, Mary Etta Hardin, Edward A. Goldy, Marsha Lynn Goldy, Dalphine Goldy, Elizabeth Ann Onesto and Gladys Faye Barker; a brother, Kenny Purvis; 15 grandchildren: Bradley Gose, Savannah Lamb, David Wayne Goldy, Samantha Lynnette Ballard, Lucas Samuel Gallagher, Jasmine Del-Shae Goldy, Chester Francis Goldy, Danielle Goldy, Ian Michael Watkins, Tyler Watkins, Amelia Mary Justice Watkins, Justin Linville, James Linville, Amanda Linville and Austin Linville; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were 2 children, Thomas Earl & Delores Jean Pergram; 3 grandchildren, Lydia Elyse & Lauren Ellaine Ballard and Candice Watkins; 5 brothers: William Ed Staton, Herman Owen “Hoss” Staton, David Harrison Purvis, Ewell Gene Purvis & Jimmy Purvis; and a sister, Sue Purvis.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 21st at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Pastor Tracy Garrett Crouch. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will after 6:00 P.M. Wednesday.
