Anna Lou Bromagen Ring, 75, gained her angel wings on Monday, February 5, 2018 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Charles Ring, Sr., whom she married on February 17, 1962.
Born May 7, 1942 in Nicholas Co. to the late Allen T. & Gladys Dotson Bromagen, she was a longtime employee of Jockey International, where she retired with over 30 years of service. Anna Lou worked hard on the family farms all her life and enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, being with family and spoiling her grandchildren. Most of all she was a devoted Mother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and a good friend to many. She was also a member of Carlisle Christian Church.
Survivors include her 4 daughters and 2 special sons-in-law: Donna Hunter, Dana (Jimmy) Price, Dianna (Cecil) Duncan and Ruthie Ann Rigger; 9 grandchildren: Wendy (Doug) Dailey, Darren Hunter, W.C. (Tracey) Duncan, Jeremy (Tiffany) Hunter, Bobby (Jennifer) Price, Josh (Mary Beth) Ring, Bradley (Jenny) Price, Shannon (Eric) Myers & Brandon (Courtney) Price: 17 great-grandchildren: Blaine Duncan, Hayden Myers, Hanna Dailey, Macey Duncan, Audra Felts, Hunter Dailey, Logan Myers, Emily Hunter, Collin Myers, Brooklyn Felts, Jackson Price, Braxton Ring, Dawson Price, Breanna Price, Lucy Hunter, Annslee Price & Josie Hunter; 2 sisters: Patty (Albert) Matthews & Judy Reid; 2 brothers: Billy Bromagen and Jackie (Beth) Bromagen: 2 brothers-in-law: Bruce W. Ring & Jim (Mary) Ring: 2 sisters-in-law: Mabel Sexton and Sharon Bromagen: a special nephew, Jarod (Beth) Bromagen: special great-niece, Becca Bromagen; life-long friend, Patsy Smith; a host of nieces, nephews & cousins, along with her caregivers, Mable Sexton, Sandy Crawford & April Davis, and her special friend, Dr. Stephen Besson.
Also preceding her in death were a son, Charles "Chuck" Ring, Jr. and a sister, Bonnie Livingood.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Smith & Bro. Jimmy Caswell. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Thursday
