Arthur Hicks Obituary
Arthur William Hicks, 83, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Hospice Care Center at St. Joseph Hospital.
Born April 24, 1938 in Perry County to the late William C. & Belva Cyphers Hicks, he was valedictorian of the Carlisle High School Class of 1957, a U.S. Army veteran and a retired employee of I.B.M. International. Arthur loved watching sports on television and was an avid collector of flea market “treasures”.
Surviving is a brother, James A. (Jeanette) Hicks, of Lexington, and 7 nieces & nephews: Ricky Hicks, Waneyca Gray, Jean Hicks, Pamela Hicks, Allan Rausch, Linda Samples and Kathy David.
Also preceding him in death were 3 brothers: Herbert, Fred & Aven Hicks, and 4 sisters: Bernice Hicks, Pauline Hicks, Irene Rausch & Aileen Samples.
Services will be at 12:00 Noon Monday, October 11th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home officiated by James A. Hicks. Burial with military honors will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
