Betty (Kerns) Bussell

Betty Louise Kerns Bussell, 82, wife of the late Floyd W. Bussell, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at her home in Paris.

Born May 28, 1941 in Bath County to the late J. Neal & Anna Frances Garrett Kerns, she was a member of Moorefield Christian Church. A dedicated homemaker, Betty’s life was devoted to her family.

Survivors include her children Mike (Elizabeth) Mattox of Carlisle, Marsha Mattox of Louisville, Kirk (Adelaide) Mattox of Georgetown, Christel Bussell Roberts (Roger Berry, Jr.)  of Paris & Brad (Andrea) Bussell of Paris; her beloved grandchildren: Blake (Sarah) Roser, Ben Mattox (Kylie Kwiatt), Memarie Paige (Andrew) Willis, Lainey (Victor) Piwleski, Michael Reid (Kehla Castle), Connor Wayne Roberts, Joseph Mattox and Presley & Cashton Bussell; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Miri, Lily, Ellis, Lennox, Pierce, Hayden & Lyla; her brother, David Kerns of Ft. Myers, Florida; and a special cousin, Leanna Dixon, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Also preceding her in death were 4 brothers: Clyde, Bobby, Gerald & Jimmy Kerns; and a sister, Carolyn Murray.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 10th at Carlisle Christian Church by Rev. Steve Smith. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the church.
