Betty Lee Barber Morford, 83, wife of the late Dr. Jack T. Morford, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 at her home.
Born January 4, 1936 in Bath County to the late Walter & Wynona Nealis Barber, she was a former employee of Randall Textron in Flemingsburg, had been an LPN with Nicholas County Hospital and was a member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church. Betty loved being outside, whether it was gardening and fishing or riding around the farm fixing fence. She was a true animal lover, spending lots of time with her cats, dogs and chickens.
Survivors include a son, Charles C. (Melissa) Hunt, Jr., of Montrose, Missouri; a daughter, Sherry Lynn Maze, of Cave Run, Bath County; a brother, Paul (Katherine) Barber, of Flemingsburg; 3 grandchildren: Cynthia Hunt, Melinda Hunt and Jacob Maze; 5 great-grandchildren: Kari, Dylan & Trey Dunn, Nathaniel Reynolds and Zachary Gilliam; special nieces and nephews: Donita (Bill) Bennett, Toni Hamilton, Kenny (Lori) Barber and Leslie (Trish) Barber; and great-nieces, Rhianna Davis and Regina (Mike) Peel.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, Marvin Barber, and a son-in-law, Dwayne Maze.
Services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Carlisle United Methodist Church by Revs. Rocky & Denise Wallace with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Kenny Barber, Leslie Barber, Willie Conn, Charles "David" Dunn, Jr., Kenny Hunt, David Jackson and Everett Earl Pfantstiel.
Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church.
