Bonnie Hawkins Obituary

Bonnie Faye Kiskaden Hawkins, 66, formerly of Carlisle, wife of 48 years to Rondall Wayne Hawkins, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at her home in Dry Ridge. 

Born December 24, 1954 in Harrison County to the late Robert & Garnetta Franklin Kiskaden, she was a retired employee of Jockey International and member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. Bonnie greatly enjoyed sewing and used her talents in support of the Save Our Shelter Dogs Rescue by sewing all of the bandannas for the dogs and masks to sell. Her giving nature shown through every day in caring for her neighbors and her continual support of Operation Christmas Child. 

Additional survivors include a daughter, April Lantman and her husband, Adam, of Dry Ridge; April’s In-laws, Peggy Lantman & Bruce Viet, of Dry Ridge; a brother, Danny Kiskaden, Sr.; and 2 sisters, Juanita Crawford and Brenda Hawkins, all of Cynthiana; 2 brothers-in-law, Roy (Stephanie) Hawkins, of Carlisle, and Gary (Carla) Hawkins, of Flemingsburg; a sister-in-law, Linda Sue (Billy) Hendricks, of Mt. Olivet; and several nieces & nephews. 

Also preceding her in death were a brother, Ronald Thomas Kiskaden; 7 sisters-in-law, Ruth Kiskaden, Anita Hawkins, Charlotte Faye Hawkins, Brenda Lou Smith, Carolyn Ann Asbury, Eva Jean  Fitzwater, and Virginia Mae Kiser; and 2 brothers-in-law, James Marion “Pete” Hawkins and Irvin Lee Hawkins. 

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 24, 2020 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Robert Donovan with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon Wednesday until the time of service.
