Brenda Joyce Hardin Vaughn, 79, wife of the late George Reynolds Vaughn, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Robertson County Health Care.
Born January 23, 1943 in Lexington to the late Gilbert Paul “Jack” & Thelma Louise Hukle Hardin, she was a graduate of Bryan Station High School, a former employee of the Weaver Company, worked for many years for Dr. Levy in Paris, and was a member of the Herrington United Methodist Church. Brenda had been very involved in her homemakers group, enjoyed bowling, quilting & gospel music and loved watching her kids play sports and U.K. Basketball.
Survivors include 7 children: Kenneth (Connie) Vaughn, of Paris, Kathy Florence, of Cynthiana; Leslie “Skip” Wiglesworth, of Kelat; Glenn (Morgan) Castle, of Midway, Michael Wiglesworth, of Clay City, Debbie Crouch, of Carlisle, and Anthony Castle, of Louisville; a brother, Jimmy Wayne Hardin; 8 grandchildren: Vincent (Ann) Vaughn, Veda Vaughn Miracle, Robert (Jennifer) Crouch, Carla (David) Schanding, Justin Dryden (Karlee Payne), Danielle (Steven) Minton, Kehla Castle (Jason Vice) and Harley (Heather) Crouch; 11 great-grandchildren: Forrest & Tori Vaughn, Mason Miracle, Austin Dryden, Austin & Ethan Moore, Hadleigh Hatton, Owen & Maggie Minton and Max & Titus Bowling; and several nieces & nephews.
Also preceding her in death was a sister, Grace Haley.
Services will be 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 5th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Jeremy Cantrell. Following cremation, inurnment will be in the Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday.
