Robert Bruce McGlothin, 62, formerly of Nicholas County, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Dover Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Georgetown.
Born September 11, 1961 in Bourbon County to the late Robert Frederick & Mary Katherine Hatfield McGlothin, he worked for many years on several area horse farms and was a member of Mt. Zion Christian Church. Bruce enjoyed hand-crafting knives, doing small engine repair and attending flea markets & swap meets.
Surviving are a son, Quinton Robert McGlothin; Quint’s mother, Mona McGlothin; 3 sisters: Lisa (Marvin) Frederick, Reitha (Ryan) Manis & Cindy Fryman; an uncle, Ralph (Nevada) McGlothin; 5 nieces, 5 nephews and a large extended family.
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Linda Sue Butler.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 30th at Mt. Zion Christian Church by Bro. Johnathan Allison with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M.
The family would like to thank the staff, especially the night shift, of Dover Nursing & Rehab for their loving care of Bruce.
