Callie Jean Ring Alexander, 88, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.
Born August 19, 1933 in Nicholas County to the late Taylor E. & Della Mae Florence Ring, she was a retired employee of Jockey International. Callie was very involved in local veterans’ organizations, serving as bartender for Lloyd George Post of the V.F.W., and was a member of the the Ladies’ Auxiliary.
Surviving are her 4 children: Anita White (Stanley Gray), of Ewing, Alan (Rhonda) Snapp & Libby (Darrell) Faulconer, both of Carlisle, and Benjamin Frederick, of Mt. Sterling; 11 grandchildren: Henry & Steven White, Michael & Justin Jenkins, Aaron & Ashley Snapp, Nathan Faulconer, Brandon Jones, and Jonathan, Nathan & Gavin Frederick; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Also preceding her in death were 7 brothers & sisters: Adaline Wilson, John Ring, Clark Ring, Lizzie Snapp, Sophia Mynear, Woodie Ring and Anita Clark.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Smith with burial to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery at Sharpsburg.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon Wednesday until the time of service.
