Carin Jean Brown Addams, 44, wife of Edward Eric Addams, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital after a courageous 12 year battle with cancer.
Born November 16, 1972 in Austell, Georgia to Calvin Wayne Brown, of Louisville, and Cheryl Leonard Brown, of Lexington, she was a 1991 graduate of Lafayette High School and a graduate of the EKU School of Nursing, where she was a member of the Delta Omicron Chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority, and attended Southland Christian Church. A natural born care-giver, Carin devoted herself to being a mother, a registered nurse with UK Healthcare and the President & Founder of Carin for Nurses.
Also left to cherish her memory are her 8 year-old son, Garrett Brady Addams, of Lexington; her step-daughter, Taylor Whitley Addams, of Frankfort; 2 sisters, Camie Jo Brown Morgan, of Crestwood, and Christy Jaye Brown (Troy) Rock, of Georgetown; and several nieces and nephews, as well as a large extended family.
Carin was preceded in death by her grandparents, George & Ruth Leonard and Earl & Mary Margaret Brown.
A Celebration of Carin’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Broadway Baptist Church on Harrodsburg Road.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church.
