Obituary

Charles C. Hunt, Jr., 65, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023 at his home in Nicholas County.

Born October 3, 1957 in Fleming County, he was a U.S. Army veteran and worked as a stonemason. He was an avid collector of Indian artifacts and loved to walk the fields searching for treasures. Junior enjoyed furthering his education later in life by taking classes through the University of Central Missouri, where he studied several different subjects. Traveling and spending time with family were some of his favorite activities.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Cynthia Hunt (David Dunn), of Carlisle, and Melinda (Jimmy) Baker, of Sharpsburg; a sister, Sherry Maze, of Salt Lick; 5 grandchildren: Kari Dunn (Tanner Stacy), Dylan Dunn, Trey Dunn, Nathaniel Kane Reynolds & Zachary Gilliam; 2 great-grandchildren, Bryer James Dean Stacy & Cohen Hayes Stacy; a nephew, Jacob Maze; and his former wife, Melissa Lamm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles C. Hunt, Sr. and Betty Barber Hunt Morford.

In accordance with his wishes, Junior will be cremated with no services.
