Cindy Ellen (Hatfield) Fryman

Cindy Ellen Hatfield Fryman, 68, wife of the late Kendall Fryman, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. 

Born March 11, 1957 in Nicholas County, she was a former employee of Hansley Mills, Jockey International & Kentucky Textiles, and attended the Community Chapel Church. Cindy loved shopping, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and her sweet fur-baby, Lola. 

Surviving are 2 children: Jackie Flora (Neil Wolford) of Ashland and Crystal Pack of Carlisle; 2 sisters, Lisa (Marvin) Frederick of Nicholas County and Reitha (Ryan) Manis of Paris; and 4 grandchildren: Payton Smith, Austin Fryman, Justin Pack and Dustin Glass, along with several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Mary Catherine Hatfield McGlothin; her son, Joseph Robert “JoeBob” Smith; a sister, Linda Butler; and a brother, Bruce McGlothin.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held at 5:00 P.M. Sunday, May 18th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home with a Time of Remembrance at 7:00 P.M.
