Cleoda Miller Snapp, 85, wife of the late Lester Allen Snapp, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.
Born September 5, 1932 in Nicholas County to the late John Thomas & Pearl Snapp Miller, she was former manager of the Dollar General Store in Carlisle and was a longtime cook and waitress at several restaurants in the community, most recently at Tracks Restaurant and was a member of the Blue Licks Christian Church. “Odie” loved sitting on her porch watching the activities of Main Street and spending time with “her girls.”
Surviving are a brother, Clyde Miller, of Cynthiana, and several nieces and nephews. She was the beloved “Mawie” to Michael "Red" & Amy Bowles and their children, Jake, Kenzie & Keylee.
Also preceding her in death were her daughter, Vicki Lynn Snapp Hatfield, her sister-in-law, Relma Snapp Miller, and her brothers-in-law, Ernest, Raymond C. & Robert Spencer Snapp.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Troy Miller, Bro. Jim Caswell and Jeremy Hughes. Burial will follow in the Barterville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon Thursday until the time of service.
