Georgia Cleopha Prather, 89, of Cynthiana, wife of the late Earl Swango Prather, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
Born September 19, 1928 in Nicholas County to the late Ed Lee & Etna Frances Jolly Cooper, Cleopha was a dedicated homemaker and member of Faith Baptist Church in Cynthiana.
Survivors include her 4 sons: Donald Ray (Sherry), Wendall Mark (Connie), Emmett Warren & Randall Earl (Betty) Prather, all of Cynthiana, 2 daughters: Sharon Ann (Bill) Wethington, of Walton, and Martha Sue Lyle, of Cynthiana; a sister, Betty Howard, of Carlisle, along with 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson.
Also preceding her in death were four sisters: Ruby Smart, MildredPolly, Dorothy Glass & Mary Evelyn Hammons; three brothers: Calvin Cooper, Robert Douglas Cooper & J.C. Cooper; and a daughter-in-law, Faye Prather.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. John Chamberlin. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Friday until the time of service.
