Connie Marie McKenzie Clinkenbeard, 75, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Baptist Health-Lexington.
Born January 28, 1943 in Nicholas County to the late Ray Burns & Virginia Mae Morris McKenzie, she was a longtime housekeeper and member of the Rose Hill United Methodist Church. Connie loved animals and had a menagerie of dogs, cats, bunnies and birds over the years. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family, especially her, Zoey Mac.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Jacqueline (Doug) Garrett, of Carlisle, and Connitha Tyrer (Terisa Blanchette), of Alvin, Texas; a brother, Edward Wayne McKenzie, of Carlisle; a grandson, Blake Barton Tyrer; 2 great-granddaughters, Zoey McKenzie Jenkins and Kailee Fern Evans; special friends, George & Brenda Archbold, Wilma & Danny Cleaver, Elaine Hardwick, Kathy Hilander, Donna Gail Mattox, Mary McKinley, Linda Ratliff, Becky Sams and Cecil & Gladys Shrout; and several special nieces and a special nephew.
Also preceding her in death were a special granddaughter, Ashton Ray Markland, and a sister-in-law, JoAnn McKenzie.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Carlisle Christian Church by Rev. Steve Smith and Rev. Dean Brewer. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the church.
