Danny Howard Obituary

Danny Clay Howard, 77, husband of Phyllis Mitchell Howard, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Cedar Ridge Health Campus in Cynthiana.

Born November 1, 1946 in Nicholas County to the late James T. & Mildred Clarine Livingood Howard, he was a former member of the Kentucky Army National Guard, a retired IBM employee and member of the First Baptist Church of Carlisle, where he was a Deacon and served the church in many ways. Danny loved being outdoors fishing, boating & camping and spending time with his family.

Additional survivors include: a son, Keith (Donna) Howard; 4 brothers, James G. (Joy) Howard, Johnny David (Ruby) Howard, Ricky (late Joyce) Howard, & Gary (Sandra) Howard; 3 sisters, Rose (Robert A.) Brady, Mary (Henry) Banks & Patricia (late Tom) Leet; 2 grandsons, Toby (Whitney) Howard & Zach (Sydney) Howard; and 5 great-grandchildren: Everett Clay, Luke Tobias, Emma Jade, Isaiah Preston & Jackson Ray Howard, along with a large extended family.

Also preceding him in death was a sister, Linda Mitchell.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 28th at the First Baptist Church of Carlisle. Burial with military honors will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Thursday at the church.
