Darrell "Bugs" Wayne Flora

Darrell Wayne “Bugs” Flora, 59, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

Born August 7, 1965 in Nicholas County, he was former truck driver and a long-time diesel mechanic for Ryder, Walters Truck Repair & Roeder Cartage, and was a member of St. Andrews Lodge #18 F. & A.M.  Bugs was known for his joyful and outgoing personality. He had a passion for pulling trucks and enjoyed camping with his family.

Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Sue Sorrell Flora; daughters, Chaya Kathryn (Bryan) Hopkins and Chenoa Dawn Flora: and 4 grandchildren: Joedan Thomas Wayne Hopkins, Jasper Allen Hopkins, Aris Alexander Kearns and Patience LeighAnn Kearns, along with a large extended family. 

Also preceding him in death were his father, William Wayne “Bill” Flora, and a brother & sister, Daniel Allen & Misty Marie Flora.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 17th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Pastor Ruby Perraut with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery. Masonic rites will be held immediately prior to the funeral.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services.
