Donald M. Bowles

Donald M. Bowles, 80, husband of 55 years to Betty Helen Gaunce Bowles, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020 at Baptist Health-Lexington.

Born March 4, 1940 in Nicholas County to the late George Earl & Maggie Belle Dampier Bowles, he was a lifelong farmer having also worked on area horse farms, at Bundy Tubing Co. and Kawneer in Cynthiana, and attended Richland Baptist Church.

Additional survivors include 2 sons, Gayle Wayne (Carriee) Bowles and Robert Keith (Stacey) Bowles, of Cynthiana; 3 granddaughters: Jordan (Ryley) Pierson, Kayla Renae Bowles and Tanna Kash-Belle Bowles; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Larry (Shirley) Bowles, and a sister, Sue Booth, both of Carlisle, along with several nieces and nephews.

Also preceding him in death were a son, James Rennick Bowles, an infant daughter, Carolyn Sue Bowles, a brother, Jerry Wayne Bowles, and a sister, Mary Lou Stone.

Private graveside services will be held Monday, May 4, 2020 at the Carlisle Cemetery.
