Donna Lynn (Finch) Dixon

Donna Lynn Finch Dixon, 68, loving wife of Billy Dixon for 50 years, returned to her heavenly home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 3, 2021 after an extended illness. 

Donna was born June 4, 1952 in Nicholas County to the late Earl & Clarine Sexton Finch. She loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart and loved God’s word. She accepted the Lord at an early age and was a true example of a Godly woman and lived her life truly for Him. Though she was a kind, humble and gentle woman, Donna was, nonetheless, a powerful prayer warrior; only God knows what a wonderful impact her faithful praying had on her family, friends and the world as a whole. 

Donna loved going to church, singing and playing the piano; that was her true calling in life. She enjoyed singing for the community and her Amish friends. Throughout her years, she was a Sunday School teacher, served in women’s ministry and helped lead countless lives to the Lord. Donna was beautician for over 40 years, loving her job and clients dearly. She enjoyed nature, photography, flowers and animals. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all, and delighted in spending time with her family. She will be deeply and dearly missed by all that knew her, but her family rejoices in knowing that she is at peace with her Heavenly Father. 

In addition to her loving husband, Billy, Donna is survived by her children: Matthew (Kayla) Dixon and Hannah (Shane) Sweet, all of Carlisle; her sister, Mindy (Mark) Villa, of Richmond; and one grandson, William Cole Dixon. 

Also preceding her in death were 2 brothers: Danny Hughes and Steve Finch. 

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the New Beginnings Church by Rev. Darrell Sexton. A committal service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Bethel Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky. 

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Friday at the church.
