Elzie Clay "Baby Boy" Mitchell, 67, of Millersburg, husband of the late Susie Barton Mitchell, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Hospice Care Center at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born February 4, 1950 in Bourbon County, Kentucky to the late Elzie Lee "Skip" & Nancy Riggs Mitchell, he was a lifelong dairy farmer, well-known for his skills in lawn mower repair and a member of the Nazarene Church in Aberdeen, Ohio.
Survivors include five sons, David (Elizabeth) Myers, Brian (Jessica) Leonard, Bradley (Nikki) Herrington, Charlie Herrington (Jennifer Rust) and Terry (Laura) Herrington, Jr.; a sister, Ruth Ella Evans; and thirteen grandchildren, Nicholas Myers, Ashlei Myers, Maddie Blake, Sadie Barton, Cameron Gilvin, Conner Herrington, Carley Herrington, Zoe Herrington, Bailey Herrington, Wrayann Padgett, Brooklyn Padgett, Tyler Herrington and Jacob Herrington.
Also preceding him in death were three brothers: Bobby, Billy & Joe Mitchell; and four sisters: Elizabeth Jolly, Mary Lou Jackson, Alma Carter & Corine Kern.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 22, 2017 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Troy Jolly and Bro. Bobby Stone. Burial will follow in the Millersburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Monday until the time of service.
