Emma Elizabeth Williams, 91, of Lexington, wife of the late Noel L. Williams, peacefully left this world on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
Born September 10, 1934 in Nicholas County to the late Roy Sexton & Opal Cartmill Sexton Hamilton, Emma was a former employee of Jockey International in Carlisle having retired in 1996 after 32 years. She spent her retirement years traveling, visiting her children and caring for her grandchildren.
Always one to lend a helping hand, she enjoyed life and all the variety it had to offer before surrendering to the Lord and going home. She leaves an infinite void in the hearts of her children and family, but because of Christ’s promise, we will all be together again one day and take comfort in knowing she no longer has pain and suffering.
Emma leaves behind 3 children, Rita Ritchie Fowler, Shirley (Terry) McClure & Jack Lenz. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren: Justin (Gabrielle) Ritchie, Austin (Autumn) Ritchie, Jason (Candice) McClure, Todd (Kimberly) McClure, AJ (Sidney) Lenz & Tyler Lenz; 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are 6 brothers and sisters: Nancy Bussell, Patricia Markland, Betty Markland, Judy Harp, Ronnie Sexton & Doug (Missy) Sexton, along with several beloved nieces & nephews.
Also preceding her in death were 2 brothers, William “Bus” Sexton and Jack Sexton.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 22nd at Carlisle Christian Church by Rev. Steve Smith with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Monday until the time of service.
