Evelyn Beatty Obituary

Evelyn Marie Beatty, 80, widow of Joe H. Beatty, Jr., passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.

She was born June 7, 1931 in Bath Co. to the late Elnier & Malinda Everman Stone, was a devoted homemaker and member of the Carlisle Christian Church.

She is survived by 1 son, Joe (Carla) Beatty, III, of Carlisle, 4 daughters, Anita (Larry) Marcum, of Carlisle, Jo Etta Patrick, of Lexington, Malinda (Darren) Robinson, of Carlisle, and Jennifer (Justin) Abnee, of Mt. Washington, 12 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers: Ewell, Bill, Roger & Andrew Stone, and 4 sisters: Dorothy Pelfrey, Margaret Warner, Zora Moberly & Mary Boyd.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 13, 2012 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Smith with burial following in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Thursday.
