Faye Buzzard

Carolyn Faye Morris Buzzard, 78, of Carlisle, departed this life on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Bourbon Community Hospital in Paris after an extended illness. 

Born June 1, 1946 to the late Roscoe & Thelma Snapp Morris at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Carlisle. She was a 1964 graduate of Bourbon County High School and worked at Jockey International for more than 40 years until her retirement in 1998. During her younger days she was a Cub Scout leader, 4-H leader and Sunday School teacher. She just loved working with and being around children. Her hobbies were sewing and plastic canvas needlepoint. She was also a member of Barterville Community Church. 

Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Arthur Buzzard; one son, Woodie Lee (Julie) Buzzard; a sister, Charlotte Buchanan (Bobby Redmon); a sister-in-law, Linda Morris; 3 grandchildren: Bryan (Chelsi) Buzzard, Mason Lee Buzzard & Bailey Buzzard; 3 great-grandchildren: Piper, Lucian & Cillian Buzzard, and her former daughter-in-law, Linda Buzzard, along with several nieces, nephews and special friends. 

Also preceding her in death were a brother, Stanley Morris; and 2 sisters, Jewell Ishmael & Helen Hyatt. 

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 2nd at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Jerry Eubanks and Rev. Brenda Routt. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery. 

Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday.
