Frank Wayne Buckler, 75, husband of the late Carolyn Hildreth Buckler, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at his home in Nicholas County.
Born January 2, 1950 in Bourbon County to the late William Bruce & Jewel Dean Evans Buckler, he was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, a retired electrician for the W. R. Stamler Corporation, and a member of Lloyd George VFW Post 8777 & American Legion Post 57. A quietly giving person, Frank saw to the needs of many in the community without acknowledgment or fanfare, and he always made sure that veterans had flags on their graves for Memorial Day. He also loved farming, fishing in his pond and spending time with his family.
Surviving are 3 children: Nicolas (Marti) Buckler, Lisa (Ray) Cole & Lorrain (Anthony) Toomey; 3 brothers: Clay, Matthew & Jeffrey Buckler; 2 sisters, Shirley (Billy) Highland & Joyce Stoddard; 4 grandchildren: Ashley Sexton (Ryan Reed), Joseph “JC” (Shania) Sexton, Andra Toomey & Kara Buckler; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 special friends, Brenda Rains & Travis McGlothin, along with several nieces & nephews.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 14th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in the Sunnyside Cemetery at Mt. Tabor.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Friday.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Sunnyside Cemetery at Mt. Tabor.
