Gary Gene Gaunce

Gary Gene Gaunce, 76, husband of the late Emily Gray Gaunce, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023.

Born November 5, 1946 in Bourbon County to the late Bruce Donald & Clara Edith Berry Gaunce, he served in the Kentucky Army National Guard and was a retired employee of AT&T. Gary loved to stay busy; he enjoyed farming, working on his trucks & farm equipment and spending time with his family, especially his great-grandson, K.P.

Surviving are a son, Todd Gaunce; a grandson, Isaiah (Macie) Gaunce; a great-grandson, Kason Parker “K.P.” Gaunce; a sister, Marilyn (Ron) Feeback; an aunt, Willa Sue Tanner; an uncle, Jimmie Gaunce; a niece, Stephanie Betts; a nephew, Jason Donald McCarty; and his mother-in-law, Betty Jean Gray.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patty McCarty Herron. 

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 3rd at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Rodney Pollitt. Burial with military honors will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery. 

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday.
