George Allen Watkins, Sr.

George Allen Watkins, Sr., 67, husband of 50 years to Belinda Fryman Watkins, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at his home.

Born May 22, 1951 in Nicholas County to the late Corlos Henry, Sr. & Elizabeth Jolly Watkins, he was a lifelong farmer. George loved hunting, fishing, dancing, having cookouts and "getting lost" on a drive through the countryside.

Additional survivors are 2 sons: George A. "Bubby" Watkins, Jr. and Victor Watkins; 2 brothers: Norman E. "Deano" & Ernest Watkins; 3 sisters: Nancy Reid, Patricia Jones and Barbara Good; 5 grandchildren: Josh Allen, Ian Michael, William Tyler & Amelia Mary Justice Watkins and Nicole Maliani; 5 great-grandchildren: Tyler Maliani, Bella Overstreet and Branson Tyler, Clarice Raylyn & Andrew Arnold Watkins.

Also preceding him in death were a son, Kendall Fryman; 4 brothers: Cornelius "Buddy", Earl Thomas "Booby", Corlos, Jr. "Corky", and William Reynolds "Bill" Watkins; 2 sisters: Viola Bowen and Almeda Morris; and 2 grandchildren, Terry William Watkins and Candice Watkins.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 23, 2018 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Jerry Eubanks with burial to follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Friday until the time of service.
