Geraldine "Gerry" Ham, 83, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.
Born April 11, 1936 in Bourbon County, Gerry loved her tackle (coffee) black, her McDonald’s Cokes cold and her baby, Judy. She enjoyed coloring and singing along to the country stations on the radio. Anyone she met along the way, she considered a buddy. As our family grew up with Gerry, we’ve learned two important things: she was the glue that held us all together and if we picked on her buddies, she’d run and tell "Tammie" (Sammie) on us. Gerry rocked all of us kids until we were too big for her lap.
Surviving are her two devoted sisters: Sammie Jo (Stanley) Rose and Maxine (Doug) Woosley, both of Carlisle; her loving niece & nephews: Angie Treadway (Tony Yazell), Jeffrey (Kelley) Rose and Phillip (Katie) Rose; and great-nieces & nephews: Aaron (Sarah) Rose, Joshua Treadway, Ashleigh Rose, Courtney (Clayton) Cooper and Hannah Treadway, as well as four great-great nieces, a great-great nephew and several cousins.
Preceding her in death were her father, Joe Raymond Ham; her mother, Elizabeth Buckler Towles; and a special niece, Yana Rae Ecklar-Day.
Services will be 1:00P.M. Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Gaylord Gillispie with burial to follow in Millersburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00A.M. Saturday until the time of service.
Special thanks to the employees of Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home for their dedication to Gerry’s care and whom she dearly loved.
