Glena (Blevins) McNabb

Glena Mae Blevins McNabb, 91, wife of 74 years to the late William Alvin “Bill” McNabb, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Willowbrook Healthcare in Carlisle. 

Born December 16, 1934 in Bath County to the late James Clifford & Effie Staton Blevins, she was a devoted homemaker, worked on the family farm and was a member of Stoney Creek Christian Church. A true matriarch, Glena’s life revolved around her family. She always enjoyed playing cards and fishing. 

Survivors include 10 children: Lonnie (Cora) McNabb, of Taylorsville, Ruth (Charles) Lee, of Brooksville, Quintin (Kathy) McNabb, of Corinth, Mavis (Keith) Leet, Alvin (Kathy) McNabb, Barbara Warmouth, William E. McNabb, all of Carlisle, Larry (Reneé) McNabb, of Burlington, Greg (Judy) McNabb, of Carlisle, and Wendell (Kim) McNabb, of Brooksville; 1 brother, Dave Blevins of Morehead; 29 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren, with another on the way.

Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Linda Ann McNabb; 13 brothers & sisters; and a great-granddaughter.

Services officiated by her sons, Lonnie & Quintin McNabb, will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 6th at Carlisle Christian Church.  Burial will follow in the Ingram Cemetery, Bath County. 

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Thursday at the church.
