Harold Blaine Dryden, 84, husband of the late Shirley Burns Dryden, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.
Born February 4, 1935 in Fleming County, Kentucky to the late Jacob Dudley & Mayme Bell Pugh Dryden, Harold was a graduate of Deming High School, a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired Park Ranger at Blue Licks State Park, a farmer, a longtime coach of the Green Valley Women’s slow-pitch softball team, an avid antiques collector & dealer and member of the Carlisle Christian Church.
Surviving are 2 sons: Victor (Angie) Dryden and Dudley Dryden, of Carlisle; a daughter, Cindy Herrington, of Paris; a sister, Erma Ferguson, of Lexington; 6 grandchildren: David, Jacob & Jennifer Dryden, Justin (Victoria) Dryden, Danielle (Steven) Minton and Brian Johnson; and 5 great-grandchildren: Austin, Kayden & McKenly Dryden and Owen & Maggie Minton.
Also preceding him in death were a son, Eric Brian Dryden; a daughter, Teresa Carson Dryden; 3 brothers: James R. Dryden, Stanley Dryden & Owen D. Dryden, and 3 sisters: Alverta Ritchie, Edna Mae Doyle and Katherine Rainey.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 11, 2019 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Smith with burial following in the Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Sunday.
