Harry Sparks

Harry Alexander Sparks, 81, husband of Dorothy Mae Mynear Sparks, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at his home.

A Nicholas County native born December 4, 1942 to the late Houston & Emma Brierly Sparks, he was a longtime contractor and life-long farmer.

Also surviving are his children: Carolyn (Danny) Hawkins, Bucky (Melissa Purvis) Sparks & Lisa Anderson; a sister, Mary Peck; 4 grandchildren: Ashley Hopkins, Christopher Anderson, Dillon Sparks & Kendra Sparks; and his great-grandchildren, Reagan & Landon Hopkins & Remington Anderson. 

Also preceding him in death were 2 brothers, Tommy & William Sparks; a sister, Wanda Sue Turner; and a great-grandson, Luke Hopkins.

A private family graveside service was held in the Carlisle Cemetery.
