Jackie Allen Caywood, 76, formerly of Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at his home in Ewing.
Born September 11, 1946 in Nicholas County to the late Glenn Riblan & Jeanette Letcher Caywood, he was a 1964 graduate of Nicholas County High School, served in the Kentucky Army National Guard, worked for more than 40 years at Crockett’s IGA and attended Carlisle Christian Church. Jackie was a dedicated care-giver for all of his family, loved to travel especially to Pigeon Forge and enjoyed listening to gospel music.
Surviving are 2 sisters, Ann Gibson, of Ewing, and Kathy DeMoss, of Florida; 4 brothers, David & Dean Caywood, of Lexington, Charlie (Sonya) Caywood, of Georgetown, and Jim Gibson, of Pennsylvania; special nieces & nephews, Adam & Aubrey Bramel, Parker Cox, Jayden Lands and William Thomas Hurst; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Also preceding him in death were half-sisters, Jane Lee Gibson, Pama Parker & Ruby Warmouth; half-brothers, Russell & Ellis Caywood; his grandparents, R.D. & Leona Stanfield Letcher and Clifton & Anna Gay Caywood; and a very special friend, Sean Carson.
Services will be 12:00 Noon Wednesday, November 30th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Smith. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of services.
