James Cooper Obituary

James Thomas "Coop Boy" Cooper, 50, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at his home.

A native of Nicholas County he was born January 20, 1969, was a former employee of Claiborne Farm and "A" Action Pest Control, and attended Hilltop Wesleyan Church.

Survivors include his mother and step-father Beverly Jolly Montgomery and Rod Montgomery of Paris; 2 sons: Clayton (Courtney) Cooper, of Paris, and Mason Cooper (Katie Nelson), of Richmond; 2 sisters: Tina (Stephen) Royse and Tracy Lynn Cooper, both of Paris; 4 granddaughters: Lyndsie Barker and Alexia, Kinsley & Kennedy Cooper; 2 step-granddaughters, Ellyana Mitchell and Autymn Stone, and a large extended family.

Preceding him in death were his father, Larry James Cooper, his grandparents, Edward & Margaret Jolly and Robert Douglas Cooper.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 8, 2019 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Curtis Coots with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Clayton Cooper, Mason Cooper, Brandon Jolly, Neely Paul, Matthew Royse and Wesley Royse.

Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Sunday.
