James Thomas Hardwrick, 67, husband of Marie Burden Hardwrick, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Bourbon Community Hospital.
Born November 14, 1950 in Nicholas Co. to the late Earl Thomas & Christine Caywood Hardwrick, J.T. was a U.S. Army veteran, later joining the Ky. Army National Guard Carlisle unit from which he retired. He was a member and past officer of V.F.W. Lloyd George Post 8666.
Additional survivors include his sons, Carl Thomas & James Thomas Hardwrick, Jr., of Texas, and Steven Brown & Chris Pettit, of Florida; a brother, Paul Allen (Janet) Hardwrick, of Tennessee; a granddaughter, Samantha McCarty, and great-granddaughter Casey May McCarty, both of Carlisle; and 2 brothers-in-law, Dee Buckler & Wayne Shields, also of Carlisle.
Also preceding him in death was a son, Michael Evans, and 2 sisters, Brenda Buckler and Margaret Shields.
Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 PM Monday.
