James Kevin Snelling

James Kevin Snelling, 44, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020.

Born July 1, 1975 in Lexington, Kentucky, he was a self-employed carpenter. Jimmy loved hunting, fishing and watching football, especially the New England Patriots.

Surviving are his mother and step-father, Margie & Roger Willoughby, of Carlisle; his father, James Calvin Snelling, of Lexington; his son, Zachary Snelling, of Paris; a sister, Tracy (Steven) Willoughby; a brother, Rodney Willoughby (Christie Martin); a niece, Whitney (Toby) Howard; a nephew, Austin Willoughby; a great-nephew, Luke Howard; and a large extended family.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents: Sarah & Tom Curry, Wilma Mason and Walter & Minnie Snelling.

Private services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home with cremation following.

In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate contributions to the funeral home to assist with funeral costs.
