Janice Scott Sexton, 80, wife of Ronald R. Sexton, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at the UK-Hospice Care Center.
Born August 26, 1938 in Nicholas County to the late Clarence Edgar, Sr. & Elizabeth "Lizzie" Anderson Scott, she was a retired employee of Jockey International, where she worked for more than 32 years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carlisle. Janice loved attending horse shows, farming with Ronnie and caring for her yard. She truly enjoyed everything she did.
Additional survivors include 3 daughters: Mary (Jerry) Frederick, Penny (Glenn) Hunt, and Ronda (Josh) Hunt, all of Carlisle; 1 brother, Johnny (Carolyn) Scott, of Moorefield; 4 sisters: Nancy (Bill) Perraut, of Nepton, Phyllis (Dennis) Rice, of Lexington, Carolyn Jones, of Carlisle, and Betty Jo Jones of Sharpsburg; 6 grandchildren: Jess Berry, Emily Frederick, Michael Frederick, Taylor Hunt, Tracy Myers and Jason Ring; and 8 great-grandchildren: Elijah, Evin & Kyler Frederick, Drake Markel, Huntley Myers, and Alyssa, Andrew & Gracelyn Ring.
Also preceding her in death were a son, Ronald Sexton, Jr.; 2 brothers: Clarence "Pete" & Billy Scott; and 2 sisters: Ella Frances Gilvin & Peggy Mattox.
Services will be 1:00P.M. Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Carlisle by Rev. Steve Smith and Rev. Micah Spicer. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Monday at the church.
