Janie M. (Pollard) Wasson

Janie M. Pollard Wasson, 70, wife of Jerry Wayne Wasson, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Bourbon Community Hospital.

Born April 8, 1946 in Franklin County to the late Alonzo & Alice Murrell Pollard, she was a former cashier at several local establishments and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Also left to cherish her memory are 3 children: J. Derwin (Karen) Wasson, of Carlisle, Joey David (Traci) Wasson, of Paris, and Brenda Joyce (Erin) Lamy, of Millersburg; 2 sisters: Sarah Pollard, of Carlisle, and Anna Belle Morris, of Mt. Sterling; and 3 grandchildren: Alexis Nicole & Tabitha Michelle Wasson and Shae Lynn Crump.

She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Ira, Larry, Jackie & Henry Pollard.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Rex Graham with burial to follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Monday.
