Janna Kay Hobbs Caswell, 73, wife of the late John A. Caswell, passed away, Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the University of KY Medical Center.
Born November 10, 1950 in Tell City, Indiana, to the late Carl & Virginia Lynch Hobbs, she was a longtime Registered Nurse serving for many years with Wedco Home Health, was a member of Carlisle Christian Church and a former member of the Nicholas Co. Senior Citizens Board. Janna greatly enjoyed seeing and talking to everyone in her retirement job at the Carlisle Dollar General Store.
She is survived by her daughters: Julie (Wade) DeRossett, Jennifer (Jonathan D. Abrams) Caswell & Beth (Andrew) Harrison; 2 sisters, Ricki Jackson & Patti Hoesli; 7 grandchildren: Abby & Ellie DeRossett, John Maddox & Jacey Cantrell, Amber (Jamie) Guy, Lauren (Taylor) Prater and Matthew Harrison; 3 great-grandchildren: Xander, Ezra & Avery Guy; her in-laws: Carol Clay (Ronnie) Wills, Sandy (Dan) Morguson & Kathy Caswell, and her faithful K9 companion J.D., along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were a sister, Carla Beatie and her brothers-in-law: Jim Caswell, Calvin Beatie, Dick Jackson & Jack Hoesli.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday January 12th at Carlisle Christian Church by Rev. Steve Smith. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Thursday at the church.
