Jeff Capps

Jeffery Wayne Capps, 46, of Nicholas County, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026 at UK-Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington. 

A Nicholas County native born June 24, 1979 to the late Oliver Thomas & Linda Brown Capps, he was a lifelong farmer and 1997 graduate of Nicholas County High School. Jeff enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening and having a good time, and dearly loved all of his fur-babies. 

Surviving are his son, Jerrod Capps (Makenzie Franklin); a brother, Greg Capps (Becky Donahue); 2 nephews, Patrick Hayes & Bradley Capps; a niece, Alyssia Hayes; a great-niece, McKenzi Myers; and a great-nephew, Oliver Capps; along with a large extended family. 

Also preceding him in death was a sister, Jo Ellen Hayes, and a nephew, Aaron Capps. 

A Graveside service by Bro. Kenton Holbrook will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, February 11th in the Longview Cemetery at Bethel.
