Jerry Wayne Wasson

Jerry Wayne Wasson, 76, husband of the late Janie Pollard Wasson, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. 

Born October 7, 1945 in Nicholas County to the late William Reid & Bertha Mae Robinson Wasson, he worked many years as a meat cutter at Carlisle IGA and other local groceries. Jerry loved fishing and hunting, especially deer and turkey.

Surviving are 3 children: Jerry D. Wasson, of Carlisle, Joey David (Traci) Wasson, of Paris, & Brenda Joyce (Erin) Lamy, of Bourbon County; 4 brothers & sisters: Jimmy Wasson, of Georgia, Billy Wasson, of Washington, Marlene Simpson, of Versailles, & Joyce Beck, of Tennessee; 3 grandchildren: Alexis (Zachary) Morris, Tabitha Wasson & Shae (Thomas) Stanfield; and 2 great-grandchildren, Amberleigh Oney & Johanna Stanfield.

Also preceding him in death were 2 brothers, Carl & Woody Wasson.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 29, 2021 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Rex Graham with burial following in Carlisle Cemetery. 

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Thursday.
